Business Licences Due by March 31

Business licences for the Town of Creston are due by March 31, 2025. This year, we’ve updated how Business Licence Fees are calculated to better reflect the size and scale of different businesses, as well as the unique impacts of certain activities.

What you need to know:

Licence Packages: If you held a 2024 Business Licence, you should have received an information package in the mail, including your invoice and details on the updated fees. Due to recent mail delivery interruptions, if you didn’t receive your package, please check in at Town Hall.

Early Payment Discount Extended: The Town has extended the $20 early payment discount deadline from January 31 to March 31 (for this year only).

New Business Owners: If you're starting a business in Creston, you’ll need a licence—even if you don’t have a storefront. This includes selling goods or services at farmers' markets, pop-up events, or other temporary locations within Town limits.

If you’re a new business or operating without a valid licence, you can apply for one HERE

Friendly Reminder: Short-Term Rentals (e.g., Airbnb or VRBO) also require a Business Licence. Learn more about Short-term rentals Here
