Council Committees are created under the Community Charter to provide an opportunity for members of the public to work collaboratively and provide advice on matters referred to them by Council through their terms of reference.
Current Committees:
- Affordable Housing and Development Committee: to serve as an advisory/liason body between Council and the housing, development, building and real estate community.
- Board of Variance: an independent body that hears appeals for relaxation of zoning regulations.
- Cemetery Select Committee: to advise Council on the operations and development of the cemeteries located within the Creston Valley that are managed by the Town.
- Centennial Event Advisory Committee: to provide advice regarding the planning and coordination of Creston’s 100th anniversary of incorporation on May 14, 2024.
- Public Art Working Committee: to provide advice to Council regarding the creation of a Public Art Program for the Town of Creston.
