Register a Complaint

If you have a bylaw complaint complete a Bylaw Complaint Form. Your complaint must include your name, address, phone number and a description of your complaint.  This information is strictly confidential and won’t be released without your consent, or if required in a court of law through due process. Anonymous complaints are not accepted. Bylaw complaint forms are available online or in person at Town Hall.

Complaint Process: 

A file is open once the complaint has been received. 

  • The Public Safety and Compliance Officer will open an investigation in relation to the complaint.
  • Depending on the circumstances, the Public Safety and Compliance Officer may issue: 
    • A warning notice with directions to remedy the problem within a specified time frame; or,
    • A fine.

If no bylaw violation has occurred, the complainant may be advised such.
