Where the parcel of land has less than 15 metres of actual frontage, the minimum taxable frontage is deemed to be 15 metres.
The minimum taxable frontage for apartment style condominiums is deemed to be 7.5 metres per dwelling unit.
Where the parcel of land has more than 45.72 metres of actual frontage, the maximum taxable frontage is deemed to be 45.72 metres.
Corner properties with taxable frontage on both sides will be averaged.
The Parcel (Frontage) Tax Roll is available for viewing at Town Hall during regular business hours (8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday). Notices will be mailed the week of March 28, 2016 to each property owner WHERE A CHANGE IN FRONTAGE HAS OCCURED.
Any person who owns a parcel of land included on the Parcel (Frontage) Tax Roll may request that the roll be amended in relation to the person's OWN PROPERTY respecting the following matters:
1. There is an error or omission respecting:
a) a name or address on the Frontage Tax Assessment Roll;
b) the inclusion of a parcel;
c) the taxable frontage of a parcel.
2. An exemption has been improperly allowed or disallowed.
Amendment requests must be made in writing to the Town of Creston, prior to 4:30 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2016. The Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel will be held on April 18, 2016 at 5:00 pm in Council Chambers, Town Hall, 238 - 10th Avenue North, Creston, BC.
