[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Update - October 6, 2020

Creston, BC – October 6, 2020:  Creston residents, it’s easy to be filled with gratitude when we can call the Creston Valley home. This year, as you plan your Thanksgiving celebrations, consider Dr. Bonnie Henry’s advice to keep celebrations, “large in thanks but small in size.” For guidance on celebrating fall holidays and festivities safely, please visit http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/social-interactions/safer-celebrations

Updated Modelling: Dr. Bonnie Henry released updated modelling on October 5, 2020, showing how COVID-19 has affected people in British Columbia. This information includes the geographic distribution of COVID-19 by Health Service Delivery Area and an update on COVID-19 testing and cases among school-aged children. Preventing the Spread of COVID-19: Individual actions play a role in keeping our communities healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.   Washing hands for 20 seconds with warm water and soap, maintaining physical distance; and wearing a mask when physical distancing is not possible - are some, among many actions we can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  For more information on COVID-19 preventative measures, please visit: http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/prevention-risks
