Creston, BC – August 28, 2020: Creston, on behalf of Town Council and staff thank you for your diligence and commitment to staying healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.  We know that it hasn’t been easy and new challenges arise daily; however, the creativity, ingenuity and adaptability of Creston citizens throughout this pandemic has been inspiring. 

COVID-19 by Local Health Area of Case Residence: On Thursday August 27, 2020, Dr. Bonnie Henry presented updated information on the geographic distribution of COVID-19 cases by Local Health Area of Case Residence from January 1 to July 31, 2020. Back to School Plan for School District No. 8: Back to school plans for K-12 families are now posted for all 60 school districts, so parents and families can prepare to support their children for a safe return to the classroom.  The back to school plans include information on how learning groups will be organized, when masks are required, daily health assessment requirements, pick up and drop off times, hand washing directions and orientation information. Families should visit their school district website to view their local school’s plans.
