[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Update - June 23, 2020

Creston, BC June 23, 2020 - Thank you Creston for all your hard work to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Town of Creston Council and staff wishes you a safe and enjoyable summer, and encourages you to continue taking the recommended COVID-19 precautions outlined by our Federal and Provincial Health Authorities.

Splash Park Re-Opening: At the Regular Council Meeting held on June 23, 2020, Council adopted the Splash Park Re-Opening Policy. As of Wednesday, June 24, 2020 the Splash Park will be opened for use seven days a week between the hours of 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Splash park equipment will not be cleaned or sanitized. Please remember:

  • If you feel sick or have any cold or flu symptoms, stay home
  • Keep two (2) metres distant from others at all times
  • Clean your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitizer before and after use
  • Avoid overcrowding. If the splash park is busy, come back another time

COVID-19 Provincial Technical Briefing: Today, the Provincial Medical Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry presented updated modeling on the epidemiology of COVID-19, outlining how the virus has affected people in BC. Key messages from her presentation include:
