[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Update - May 19, 2020

Creston BC - May 19, 2020: Today, British Columbia moves into Phase 2 of BC’s Restart Plan. Restaurants, cafes and pubs, retail and personal service establishments, libraries, museums and galleries can start operating under enhanced protocols to ensure the health and safety of the community and staff.  All businesses have been asked to put in place a COVID-19 Safety Plan, and have that plan available either on their website or posted at their worksite. In Creston, some establishments are already open after being ordered to close; while others, may take more time to plan and prepare before opening. Please be kind, considerate and patient as our local businesses learn to operate under the enhanced protocols outlined by our Federal and Provincial governments.

Support for Seniors: The pandemic has been especially hard on BC seniors, who may feel overwhelmed by social isolation, health concerns and financial struggles. Several federal and provincial supports are available to help seniors through the pandemic, including:
