The Town of Creston will be performing sidewalk maintenance/construction during the months of August and September 2017.  It is intended that enhancements to the sidewalks, identified below, will improve safety and mobility for all users.  The Town apologizes for any inconvenience to the public or adjacent property owners during this maintenance/construction period.

Sidewalk on south side of Canyon Street will be closed between 18^th Avenue and 20^th Avenue from August 18^th to the end of September, for the installation of a new 2 meter wide sidewalk and retaining wall at 1821 Canyon Street.

Canyon Street between 11^th Avenue and 15^th Avenue, will have intermediate sidewalk closures on both sides from September 5^th to the end of September, for resealing of the original stamped concrete and the application of a safety seal product.  Also, 15 ambulatory ramps will be replaced with a colored, broom finished concrete with tactile warning strips installed.

Canyon Street, East of 20^th Avenue (near Paul’s Superette), will have construction of a sidewalk, approximately 95 metres in length and 2 meters wide.  This area will be closed to foot traffic along the existing dirt path on Canyon Street starting in September for approximately 3 weeks.

Signage will be posted at each end of affected sidewalks and flagging will occur to maintain single lane traffic on Canyon Street during this construction period.
