The Creston Museum celebrates the culture and history of the Creston Valley. It is a popular destination for visitors passing through Creston. The history of the region is fascinating, and the staff and volunteers at the Museum are always working on new ways to bring history to life for visitors and school groups. Highlights include the Stone House, the small cabin exhibit showing the life of early trappers, and the model railway depicting the CPR route through the Creston Valley.
The Archives contain unpublished documents and photographs on all areas of local history in a climate-controlled and fire-proof vault. The Archives also hold back issues of both the Creston Review and The Creston Advance, and several birth, death and marriage indexes. Research services are available.Genealogical researchers are welcome to contact the Museum for cemetery listings and historical obituary information.
